FORD RACING PUMA #0401
FRP #0401 has been the ownership of Alex Goodier since 2014, during this time it has undergone a full restoration of the underside, dealing with the usual rust to the boot floor and chassis rails. The underside was stripped to bare metal before a coat of Epoxy Mastic chassis paint was applied, followed by 3M sealer, stone guard and a coat of Ford Dove Grey paint.
The rear axle, front subframe and running gear were all removed, sandblasted and powder coated, new Powerflex bushes fitted throughout. All new wheel bearings, anti-roll link arms, bottom ball joints and track rod ends were fitted. The exhaust system was replaced with a full Piper system from Pumabuild along with the exhaust heat shields.
Externally th car is near perfect following a fll overhaul by the previous owner who was a bodyshop worker at Ford and spent over 300 hours painstakingly bringing the car back to its former glory. #0401 has been shown at Ford Fair concours for the past 3 years and has won Best In Class for its category.
