FRP #0045 is owned by Errol Williams, a well known and loved member of the Puma and Racing Puma communities. Errol's build threads on various forums have have a massive following and is a wealth of knowledge to anyone wanting to turbo charge their 1.7 or perform an engine swap.

#0045 was purchased as a standard Racing Puma but was tired and a little unloved. Knowing it was never going to be perfect again Errol set about doing what he does best; making it faster and adding power. The standard 1.7 engine was removed and replaced by a 2.0 Duratec engine with a whacking great turbo, on high boost Errol achieved around 440bhp from this setup.

After reaching its maximum potential the 2.0 Duratec was removed and replaced with a 2.3 Duratec from Ford / Mazda, performance was rasied to clsoe to 500bhp before cylinder 4 gave up and cracked from top to bottom. Not one to give up Errol has a new engine on the way and promises even more power.. and hopefully better reliability, although really we think he just enjoys blowing engines up and rebuilding / fitting new ones!
